PINK / A STYLE AFFAIR

/      an ode to the colour of the moment

blush, rose, nude, baby pink.
this season there is no escaping the colour pink and in great abundance, no less.

since buying a dusty pink brandy melville fine knit in january i've been drawn to all sorts of fashion, interior and beauty items in the classic feminine shade. the primary reason for my fondness stems from how well it sits in the winter/spring transition. when used on the face or nails, it evokes a youthful, clean appearance and as for style, it adds a colourful injection just in time for the beginning of spring. speaking of, i've searched the www, pulling together a select few items in the girlish hue to give a little inspiration if you're unsure how to wear the trend. i like the concept of pink best when approached with a sports or soft-tailored twist to create a slight sense of androgyny.

soft-tailoring

because of my minimal rule to buying, i would choose to add only one other pink item to my collection - that being the cos shirt. i can't foresee it ever going out of fashion, plus the cut and fine quality of the piece is simplistically lovely... *adds to basket*.

how will you wear the trend?
