CLOSET CONFIDENTIAL

/      the re-surfacing of fleur de force's style tag hits e-mitw? ...

/ the oldest item in your wardrobe?
excluding vintage pieces, a hand-me-down 'jack daniels' tee from my dad is my oldest item and frequents come bed time.

/ the newest item?
a pair of velvet slippers - which i promise aren't as hugh hefner as they sound - are the newest additions to my collection. they're from topshop and are simply the cosiest as well as being a great transitional item for spring.

/ the most expensive item?
outerwear and shoes are where i usually invest my money. this longline zara coat was pricier than what i'm used to but fortunately has more than earned its money back as my everyday insulator this winter. it's beautiful quality, timeless finish and grey palette has me set for the foreseeable future and makes any outfit look slightly more luxe.

/ the most affordable item that gets a lot of use?
a pair of peg leg trousers in a greyish blue seen here. they were a sale buy a few years ago and serve well as both a casual and formal option. i think every girl needs a flattering trouser in their wardrobe to wear from weekday through to weekend.

/ the biggest bargain?
a £2 sheer black and boxy vest which i pull out every summer to pair with my extremely seasoned bralet collection.

/ the biggest waste of money?
though i'm very ruthless and throw away the majority of things i don't wear, i have a handful of party dresses in storage boxes that i've worn once and once only... y'know, just incase.

/ the three favourite items in your wardrobe rn?
a blush pink brandy melville jumper thats oh-so soft, denim kick flares (the shape of the season) and my trusty leather ankle boots.
