/      a jo malone-heavy serving of my scent bests

jm /      mimosa and cardamom
the newest addition, so inevitably my most favoured right now. described as warm and ethereal, i think this scent is worn best in the winter/spring transition, as its both warm and floral. in fact, its my first delve into a flowery perfume - i must be growing up - but because its a unique, smooth scent rather than powdery, i find myself choosing it above my signature wood and/or vanilla scents.

perhaps the one i receive the most compliments on, this perfume is firmly set as my signature winter and night time fragrance. another warm one, its also deep with some elements of mystery. most importantly though, it has vanilla notes (and coffee?! bonus) to uplift the dark scent.

jm /       english pear and freesia
given to me for my 21st birthday, this nostalgic number keeps me very fond, especially in the spring time. far more fruity than floral in my mind, the pears accompanied by white freesias smell perky and fresh.

the proofs in the pudding with this one, being that its a rare repeat purchase. however, it is typically the one i find hardest to describe. fresh and clean, it absolutely is - however the touch of sage brings with it a warm, final note which i wear all year round.

what are your favourite fragrances to wear this winter?

  1. I love the Jo Malone fragrances as well, English Pear and Freesia is actually one of my all time favourites :)

    1. its a goodie, i sometimes find it doesn't last long on the skin though - thats my only gripe with it mind!
