AUG BUYS

It's officially the end of August which, for me, can only mean one thing: the second edition of my 'monthly buys' posts. The month was made up of mine and Dave (the boyfriend) 's three year milestone, a flatlining Macbook *cry* and a day at the races for my belated birthday.

As it was Ladies Day I dug out the finest, floral frock I could find from my favourite store of them all - Zara - but as I was on my way to the counter I spotted yet another dress in an assortment of blues that I just couldn't leave. Now I'm not even a dress sort of girl but they both sit so pretty on the body as well as on my rail that even now I have no regrets apart from one: a jug too many vodka-spiked Pimms on race day. The morning after was not so pretty...

All in all for me, August was full of colours, prints and a lot of gold, all of which were things I was completely shocked by, but taking risks and being open to new styles is something I find so fun, and from ethereal to retro there is now something for my every self. There's nothing better than waking up in the morning and looking through my wardrobe, carefully selecting the pieces that portray the version of myself I want to be for that particular day.
